Helsinki, Feb 11 (Xinhua) A court has fined an ex-girlfriend
of Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen for writing an explicit
book on their relationship.
The Helsinki Appeals Court Tuesday ruled that Susan Ruusunen
violated his right to privacy by publishing the book. The
court overturned a lower court's ruling in favour of Ruusunen.
The court fined both Ruusunen and her publisher, fining them
300 and 840 euros respectively. They were ordered to pay about
8,500 euros in illicit gains to the state.
It also told Ojala to pay Vanhanen 1,000 euros in damages
and to cover his legal costs. Vanhanen declined to comment
on the decision.
